Football has always played a crucial part in my life and plays a big part into who I am today. With over 25 years of coaching and management experience in the USA and Africa, starting Chipkizi Cup was a no brainer. Chipkizi Cup was born out of necessity in 2010. Today, it has become the biggest youth and grassroots tournament in Africa with 302 teams participating from East to West Africa.
"I recall as a child and as a player how much I looked forward to the next game or competition which fuelled my energy and desire to train harder and be more committed."
Paul is a sports management expert, an author, and an experienced researcher. He is also a specialist system builder, sports strategist, and University sports lecturer. In his free time, he enjoys coaching soccer.
For 20 years, he has trained and mentored young leaders and sports professionals across East, Central and Southern Africa regions and embraced an important role play--a link between academia and the sports industry.
Over the past 8 years, at the East African Chipkizi Cup, I have worked as an Administrator, fostering many roles which include maintaining the financial health of the tournaments (budget), preparing all the trophies and medals, confirming participating teams/clubs, and making payments for all expenses.
As a former Future Stars Academy player, I am proud to have been part of the academy since its establishment.
With a unique blend of sports, IT, and coaching experience, I strive to contribute my skills and dedication to the success of the Chipkizi Cup Tournament and continue making a meaningful difference in the world of sports.
